IRA distributes Islamic books
The Islamic Relief Agency (IRA) on Wednesday distributed 500 Islamic books to Madrassahs in Blantyre. The books included the Chichewa-translated Qur’an and Swalat teachings as part of the Eid Ul-Fitr celebrations.
IRA programme manager Sheikh Cassim Idrissah said distribution of the holy books was a sign of thanksgiving to God for helping them during the fasting period.
“We also want to promote a reading culture among Muslim youth and promote quality education,” said Idrissah.
